Bahrain Wins Dubai International Quran Award Honors Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum


Dubai International Quran Award: ‘Dubai International Quran Award’ was organized in Dubai city of United Arab Emirates (UAE). At the event, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, honored Sheikh Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum with the ‘Islamic Personality of the Year’ award. This was the 27th session of the ‘Dubai International Quran Award’ program.

Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum is the wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma was given this award for her contribution to Islamic, humanitarian, charitable and social work. ‘Dubai International Quran Award’ is organized every year in Dubai with funds received from Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Award jury was also honored

According to news agency ANI report, Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received the award on behalf of Sheikh Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum during a ceremony held at The Cultural and Scientific Association in Dubai. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed also honored the 10 award winners and members of the award jury.

Who won the award for memorizing complete Quran Sharif?

Mohammed Adnan Al Omari from Bahrain won the award by securing first position in the category of complete memorization of Quran Sharif, the holiest book of Islam. He won the first place by defeating participants from 70 countries and Muslim communities. Bahrain’s Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Mawda, expressed happiness over Al Omari’s victory. He also praised the passion of Bahraini youth for memorizing the Quran.
